I am a visual artist based in Glasgow working across the mediums of performance and makeup.
My practice utilises the human body, exploring the tensions between embodied subjectivity and the body as spectacle. My work explores themes of narcissism, voyeurism and exhibitionism through a queer lens; as well as reflecting on the performance of daily life, and how we perform our identities.
After completing a masters in painting, I trained as a makeup artist and have over 6 years industry experience working across beauty, fashion, commercial, film and music. My makeup work has been published in magazines such as: Interview, Another Man, Elephant, Mixmag, and BRICKS.
In addition to my career in makeup I work as an occasional visiting lecturer at Glasgow School of Art.
